Friend, while i agree that this picture makes me uncomfortable aswell this is part of a 1400 year old Shiia ceremony called "the passion of Hussein". mostly done in Iran this is an ancient festival which builds devotion in the community, incidently getting cut on the face causes more blood to flow then other cuts, these are not ghastly wounds. ok so my point is, i am a republican, a Catholic and yes i believe this festival is wrong but please if you are going to attack something, do it wwith intellegence not rhetoric. more, and far better people will listen to your message.
